In addition to the resources listed here, NELP hosts a password-protected National Wage and Hour Clearinghouse at
www.just-pay.org.

This National Wage and Hour Clearinghouse contains extensive litigation materials, information on public agency wage enforcement, model legislative reforms, research, data, and practice guides, and information on different sectors and types of workers.  The Clearinghouse is designed to support the growing movement of unions, community groups, worker centers, legal services advocates, plaintiffs' attorneys and some public agencies working to make headway against wage theft and the erosion of the minimum wage floor and right to overtime pay.

To sign up for membership in the Clearinghouse (available for worker advocates only), please visit www.just-pay.org and click on "Join the Clearinghouse."

New Materials on Social Security No-Match: Newly-proposed rules by the Department of Homeland Security will alter the nature and use of Social Security No-match letters, and turn them into an immigrant enforcement tool. The rules won’t reduce employment by undocumented workers: they will just drive more workers underground, reward scoff-law employers, and overload the SSA’s data system. A federal judge has blocked enforcement of the rule. Read an analysis of the proposed rule and its impacts in NELP’s Question and Answer brief. NELP’s advice for workers, in English and in Spanish, is meant as an interim tool. Organizers and union representatives can refer employers during this time to NELP’s Top Ten Tips for Employers. The Washington State Coalition’s letter to the Region 10 Social Security Administrator can serve as a model for activists. .
